Position papers are what delegates give to the chair before the meeting starts based on their view on the agenda and they are written in times new roman of size 12. There is the introduction, which is very brief, and summarizes the topic of the agenda, In the second paragraph you speak about how your country is getting affected by the agenda, and how does it directly impact the people, and stats and figures that need to be used are very important. They need proper sources that are unbiased and reputed sources, like Washington post, Reuters, or the UN itself. Government stats of your own country can also be used but not that favorable. When you read the background guide and understand the topic, you can break it down into subtopics and questions that need answers in the agenda, usually found at back of background guide. You usually break that into even smaller pieces too, and the research links are usually pasted in a doc to collate information. In the conclusion you will speak about how your country is dealing with the issue, and what are your solutions to the questions. It is highly recommended if those solutions in the conclusion come in the resolution too.
