The self-taught weaver has a keen eye for different traditional designs, with one glance, it is said that she can identify the design as well as the creator of a specific work. With her excellent talent and skills, she was able to name her own price for her works.

Salinta detaches her social self when finishing a piece, in order to concentrate and at the same time, for privacy purposes. She mentioned that the binuwaya was challenging to make, but was one of her favorite designs. The Bagobo weaver was more than willing to teach the art of weaving to the young women in her community.

In order to master the art of weaving, there is strict training and discipline that requires patience and perseverance. This is evidently seen at Salinta because of the fact that her younger sister may be the only Bagobo weavers left, which may be the only hope of projecting the wonderful tradition it holds.
