People transported the first stones to this place about 5000 years ago.People built Stonehenge with bluestones and sarsen stones. There were about 80 bluestones. They came from mountains 250 kilometers away. They are very heavy – some weigh about 4 metric tons. The sarsen stones are even bigger and heavier. About 4000 years ago, people transported them from 30 kilometers away. Every year, on June 21st, lots of people go to Stonehenge to celebrate the longest day of the year.

The Tower of London is a historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It lies within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, which is separated from the eastern edge of the square mile of the City of London by the open space known as Tower Hill. The Tower of London has become established as one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. It has been a tourist attraction since at least the Elizabethan period, when it was one of the sights of London that foreign visitors wrote about. Its most popular attractions were the Royal Menagerie and displays of armour. The Ravens of the Tower of London are a population of black ravens that live in the Tower of London, and have symbolic significance for Britain. Their presence is traditionally believed to protect The Crown and the Tower; a superstition holds that "if the Tower of London ravens are lost or fly away, the Crown will fall and Britain with it."

Stirling Castle, which located in Stirling, is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland. The castle sits atop Castle Hill, an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation. Locals know many legends about this place, which attract thousands of curious tourists. It was in this castle that Mary Stuart was crowned, and here she almost died due to an accident: curtains lit up from a candle and a fire broke out in the castle. Stirling is also open to tourists; visitors dream of meeting the Green Lady there. This is the ghost of the maid, she saved Maria during the fire, but the maid died from her burns. She wore a green dress that day, in which she sometimes appears to tourists in the most unexpected corners of the castle to this day. (written by Mariya Stepanko)

NORTHERN IRELAND. The Dark Hedges

The Dark Hedges is an avenue of beech trees along Bregagh Road between Armoy and Stranocum in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The trees form an atmospheric tunnel that has been used as a location in HBO's popular television series Game of Thrones, which has resulted in the avenue becoming a popular tourist attraction. In about 1775 James Stuart built a new house, named Gracehill House after his wife Grace Lynd. Over 150 beech trees were planted along the entrance road to the estate, to create an imposing approach. According to legend, the hedges are visited by a ghost called the Grey Lady, who travels the road and flits across it from tree to tree. She is claimed to be either the spirit of James Stuart's daughter (named "Cross Peggy") or one of the house's maids who died mysteriously, or a spirit from an abandoned graveyard beneath the fields. A tree preservation order was placed on the trees in 2004, to enable preservation and maintenance, and in 2009 the Dark Hedges Preservation Trust was set up.
Scotland, Holyroodhouse Palace Kurchenok The Holyroodhouse Palace is shaped like a square - buildings on the sides of a square perimeter and a courtyard in the middle. True, this can only be noticed by climbing Salisbury - a mountain towering next to the palace. two double towers are attached to the façade, giving Holyrude its unique look, sometimes not even quite serious. Although, in fact, Holyroodhouse performs a particularly serious function - the current palace of the queen. A cool place for a photo hunt is the square in front of the palace. Among other things, there is a magnificent fountain on it.

At first Anglesey was captured by the Roman commander Suetonius Paulin, at different times the island was inhabited by Celts, Vikings and Normans, and in the XIII century. it was conquered by the English king Edward I. The nature here is unusually beautiful, and the coast is bordered by picturesque cliffs with caves and sandy beaches. The island is connected to the mainland by two bridges, the first of which - Menai or Telford Bridge was built in 1826. There are several small towns on Anglesey, but it is best known as a treasury of ancient monuments. The island has preserved mysterious megaliths and tombs dating back to the Bronze Age and the Neolithic, as well as medieval castles.

It connects the main massif of Ireland with the miniature island of Carrick, the name of which can literally be translated as "stone". The name of the bridge, in turn, can be translated as "road to the stone", since ancient times, the miniature islet has attracted local fishermen. It was they who built the first bridge, so that during the period of migration of salmon, they can freely reach the island and engage in fishing. The very first Carrick-a-Reed bridge was a rope bridge, which had to be rebuilt by fishermen every year. More than 250,000 tourists visit the bridge annually, the passage on it is paid and costs about 5 pounds.

The Abbey, or simply, the monastery of Glendalough, is hidden in a glacial valley in County Wicklow, a few dozen kilometers south of Dublin. The founder of this ancient monastery is considered to be a certain hermit Kevin who lived at the turn of the 5th and 6th centuries. There is a cemetery around the tower. There are both ancient burials and relatively recent ones. Most of the tombstones are crowned with a traditional Celtic cross. Welcome to Holyrood Palace. This is the official royal residence. It is here that the Queen stays during her annual visit to the city in July for the Order of the Thistle, which she leads, and here is the small cramped room where Queen Mary whiled away the evening on March 9, 1566, accompanied by a pair of ladies-in-waiting and her secretary, David Riccio. There is also one legend about witches and they say that the spirit of a ghost woman is still wandering in the castle. It may not be the most opulent royal residence, but definitely worthy of your visit.

Located in County Antrim, UK, the Carrick-a-Reed Bridge has long been one of the region's most popular attractions. It connects the main massif of Ireland with the miniature island of Carrick, the name of which can literally be translated as "stone". The name of the bridge, in turn, can be translated as "road to the stone." The history of the construction of this bridge is very interesting: since ancient times, the miniature islet has attracted local fishermen. It was they who built the first bridge, so that during the period of migration of salmon, they can freely reach the island and engage in fishing. The very first Carrick-a-Reed bridge was a rope, every year the fishermen had to rebuild it due to the dilapidated structure. Now the bridge is used as a tourist attraction for the most daring. If you want an unforgettable emotional experience come to Northern Ireland.

At 443 feet high, the London Eye is currently the fourth-largest Ferris wheel in the world, but it doesn't even crack the top 20 tallest structures in London itself. (For the record, the tallest building in the city is the Shard, topping out at 1,004 feet high.) Fun fact: The circumference of the wheel is 1,392 feet, so if it weren't a wheel, it would actually be taller than the Shard.

2. A ride on the London Eye takes 30 minutes, and it travels at a speed of about 0.6 miles per hour.

3. Husband-and-wife team David Marks and Julia Barfield came up with the idea for the Eye in response to a 1993 competition asking Londoners to design a new landmark celebrating the millennium. The contest was a bust, but Marks and Barfield's idea caught on, and the wheel opened on March 9, 2000. (It was behind schedule, so technically didn't open on the millennium, but that's okay.)
Ivashchenko Ruslan.

Notable instances include the Longshanks Siege of 1296, when Edward I plundered the castle and shipped all its treasures to London. There’s also the Lang Siege, which resisted government forces from 1571-73, after the garrison occupying the castle declared their support for Mary, Queen of Scots. The last siege was during the 1745 Jacobite Rising, when Bonny Prince Charlie tried – and failed – to take the fortress. This is an archaeologically and architecturally rich landscape that is matched by a wealth of historical documents. Evidence for human activity in the valley possibly goes as far back as the Neolithic Period. Recent excavations have uncovered industrial activity that may be contemporary with St Kevin’s reputed foundation of a ‘monastery’ around 600AD. Glendalough is one of the most important medieval ecclesiastical landscapes in Ireland and since the nineteenth century one of Ireland’s premier tourist attractions.
Ivashchenko Ruslan.

The small Welsh kingdoms existed scattered, and attempts to unite under Gruffudd ap Llywelyn and Owain Glendur failed. Tsikavo, scho 32 is not a vipadkovo number, it means the number of boroughs of London. Capsules will increase the glass, thus allowing the panorama of the place to be brought to the back of the tank. The sporud was transferred as a team member and the small one was dismantled after 5 rockets.Quite a fact: The hour of the wedding of Prince William and the Duchess of Kate Middleton, the worm-name has been honored with blazing fires.
