Hi I am Hunter Hughes, I'd like to let everyone know about my behance profile where I have a showcase of all my art throughout the years. Almost 2 years ago I started drawing and building sacred geometry. It has been so much fun, especially exploring my main interest in asymmetrical forms. The Chestahedron and Decatria have been so inspirational for me. I have always loved shapes and technical drawing, I feel at home when I work on these things. I am currently sorting through hundreds of drawings and will be uploading more overtime. You can also find me on facebook sharing things regularly.

Belonging to our Time

Throughout history there was widely understood to be a guiding "Zeitgeist", or time spirit. If one exists today, what is its nature? What does it mean as an individual to be "in relationship" with such a being? How might we increase our sensitivity and attentiveness to this relationship? Why would we want to? What is to be gained - for ourselves and for the World?

This strange experience

connecting

speaking into the unknown

What do I say?

Am I in sync with my time?

These overwhelming dark forces

this tower of Babel

nourishing warmth

persistant devotion

everything at the same time!

On a world-wide call with the Michael School

we open to not knowing

the burden of caring

centers us

deepening into our hearts

creating together

finding the tendrils

weaving

the children in our own bodies

keep playing!

We find the language to talk about endings.

We open to the future flowing through us.

Together we reflected on the new (and ancient!) practices that reunite the realms of artistic creativity, scientific inquiry and moral responsibility. I shared a practice I call "Life Altaring". Part art piece, part devotional practice, part social experiment, Life Altaring is one way that helps me navigate a new story. We shared others in break out group pairs and with the whole group which resulted in a social poem.

A Medicine of Intensified Presence

Backwards in

color and flow

the cross becomes a circle

When we really listen

the other reveals a portal

the ear, a receptacle of sound

conversation, a practice without conclusion.

Such a surprise

I want to try it!

this dew collection

carries forward what might otherwise be exhaled and forgotten.

So many threads to hold onto...

and I can't hold onto anything.

I was given the quiet.

Received what wasn't said.

Coming back to my body,

breathing deeper

children at play in the garden.

We step in

vulnerable and surprised

creating a medicine of intensified presence.
