How does this NEW setting effect Mary?

Recap: Mary was kidnapped from her island and brought to Boston. She is scared of what might happen next and is viewing things as new and different from her island. Everyone treats her like she is a test subject and not a real person. Will she ever see her parents again?

This new setting impacts the story by adding suspense and rising action to the story.

The change in setting has effected in numerous ways, she been oversea's not knowing where she was and that caused a lot of trauma on her. She never planned on being kidnapped and it came out of no where.

The setting keeps on changing throughout the story. First from a beach now to a 4 story building. In certain environments Mary's mood is different. For example you could tell that her emotions are clearly different in some parts. Like compare page 183 to page 64.

It affects her by tearing her from her family and putting her in a number of awful situations the worst with Mrs. Muffin. This puts a huge strain of her spirits and is dragging her down.

The change of the new setting has effected Mary because Mary is in this new place right after she gets kidnapped and she is nervous about what they will do to her. She is also curios about this new girl ms. tops. Nobody treats her like a real person. In summary Mary is just scared and wants to go home.

This change in setting had an effect on Mary because she is without her family.  Next, while Mary was on the ship she learned to be thankful for all food. She learned this because on the ship she had 3 (disgousting) meals each day. As I said MULTIPLE times she had learned to never take anything for granted.😎🥳🤑

The change in setting has effected her in many different ways. First, while on the ship, Mary had kind of lost most hope. While in boston, she grew slightly more hopeful, and she realized how badly deaf people are treated. When in the manor, or whatever you want to call it, she grew more hopeful but it seems like now she expects the worst and is scarred.

It makes her a lot less confident and shes very nervous. It changed her view from strangers usually being okay to strangers being somebody you cannot trust.
