I really liked the course. I especially liked that we moved to a new location every day and how the teacher many times used the location to explain globalization and internationalization through this specific location (the rain forest, the islands, the costal cliffs etc.).
I have got many ideas for internationalization my school. From audit, to policy and strategy. And working with identification and culture. I loved the last French test! ;-)

First, I am really glad that I had this possibility to come to Guadeloupe. Normally I am spending a lot of time in France and for me it was so interesting to come to this oversea department and could develop this mixture of french and creole culture. It is something very special with this island. It was a good way to think about internationalisation and the own nationality at this area with a lot of history and contrasts. I was very touched by the history of slavery and naturally I started to think about our own story in Germany. The “red threat” for me was the constant comparison of different cultures and ways of living. I was impressed by the way of living here and I told me to bring for my own a little bit back to my life in Germany. A little bit more relaxation (I do not know if it would be possible).

I am glad that I had the possibility to train on one side my French and on the other side my english. Every day we had possibilities to train our language competences.

Concerning our objects of the course, we learned a lot about strategies of internationalization, we thought about bringing them in our schools and in the curriculums. I appreciate that we have got a lot of topic related articles, literature and youtube videos. I am sure that I will benefit a lot of them at home.

I really liked the practical work for example to create an international policy or to prepare a project. In my opinion it was a good mixture of theory, practical and mobility.

It's the last day of a 10-day course. Surprisingly I'm not exhausted. Quite the contrary! I could easily go on for few more days. That means the lessons and the school days or excursions weren't too long. The course was well organised.
The strength of the course was outdoor classrooms and seeing many different sides of this beautiful island.
There isn't much to improve. However, some of the lessons could have been more interactive and using more outdoor learning methods.
I am very happy I attended this course. This is a paradise island. I learnt a lot on humanity, variety of life and myself. Get knowledge, care and act! That is a great motto I learnt here.
Thank you Rita and the whole group! Au revoir❤️

This was my first Erasmus+ course, so I don’t have anything to compare it with, but the next courses are going to have a hard time to compete with it. These 10 days have been amazing. Rita organized the course very well. I have the feeling I’ve seen the whole Island and really got to know the way of living around here. Rita succeeded in creating the perfect work – life – balance.
The most valuable aspects for me were:

1) I have learnt a lot about culture in general and especially about the culture and nature of Guadeloupe. Rita’s knowledge and stories about Guadeloupe established a deep connection with the island and a better understanding of the people living here.

2) The learning environments were absolutely stunning. I will take with me that learning outdoors has a lot to offer and I will give my students the chance to experience this learning environment first hand.

3) I have learnt a lot about how to plan a project and the importance of key competences and becoming a global citizen.

4) It was great to have the opportunity to talk to teachers from around the world; to exchange experiences with projects and to get and give tips how to develop your international work at your school.

It was a great experience and I would definitely do it again.
Thank you Rita!

The course "A Classroom with a door to the world", gave me a global vision of the internationalization process, what it means to be a global citizen, a development of the key competences of lifelong learning, in a unique multicultural involvement - Guadeloupe, full of contrasts and social asymmetries, which transform us and enrich us at personal and professional level. To embrace the world, to think globally and to act locally, is to share a training process that all teaching professionals should experience, so that they can better understand the dreams, needs and motivations of the younger generations, guiding them in the choices of great life stories, in which multicultural heritances will strengthen their identities, enabling through education a safer, more sustainable and respectable future in human and environmental values and rights. It was an excellent approach and transforming experience that I recommend to all international colleagues. Thank you and see you soon...

Well there's

The course offered an overview of ways to internationalize your school, focussing on international projects and how to establish them. Moreover, it gave a lot of practical information, especially in the reader provided, on how to fill out Ka1 and Ka2 applications which will be quite helpul to us and our school because this was our first Ka1 course. Besides, we learned a lot about key competences and how to apply those in international projects.
I especially enjoyed the stunning outdoor classrooms and activities and the exchange between the international colleagues. It would have been nice to focus even more on activating exercises and lively discussions between the colleagues and maybe also to plan a specific international project with the different countries involved.

I have learned on this course that even though our school is already doing a lot on an international level, there are still way more options for projects and all kinds of international exchange.
The communication and exchange with the colleagues from all around Europe is one of the biggest strengths of this course because I learned a lot about what other schools are doing, which channels they are using, what kind of courses they have already attended and so on.
Visiting all the fascinating varied locations on Guadeloupe was also a great and informative experience.

The course was well organised and all learning happened outdoors by visiting different places each day. The places we went were connected to topics for each day. This course gave me a deep insight into international work at schools around Europe. Continuing our work will be a lot easier after taking part in this course.
Thank you Rita and other participants for having such a 10-day course!

Because this was my first Erasmus+ project, i don´t have anything to compare it to. Reflecting on our last two weeks spent on the beautiful island of Guadeloupe I can say, that it was a great experience for me! The course was well organized and I loved the idea of outdoor classrooms and seeing many different sites on the island. The biggest strength of the course was the exchange with our international colleagues and I learnt a lot about school life in different countries all around Europe and their different approaches to learning. So I´m returning home after two inspiring and motivating weeks with a lot of ideas to improve the international work at our school.

The participation in this course is a surprising opportunity. I am delighted. What a magnificent experience. The contents of the course correspond strictly to what was announced. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about personal identity, national and internationalisation. It also deals with the theme of culture, its relevance, its forms of expression, multiculturalism and its dimensions and the importance of music as a cultural vehicle. Another area addressed in this course is the area of key competences, global competences, how to internationalize an institution, how to internationalize a curriculum, the policies of internationalization and the dimensions/stages of a project. In addition to the relevance of the topics covered, there is a very rich contact with the culture and society of Guadalupe - a minimalist way of living happily. All this, in a context of relaxed learning in outdoor environments - an educational bet.
A word of thanks to Rita - a sympathy - to Michel, to the other participants and to all those who made this experience possible.
Not being unrepeatable, this was an unforgettable course.
Au revoir. 👌🙏❤️
