My children's books are waiting on illustrations, and my memoir is in the early stages of revision. I also have plans for a young adult book. I am pursuing publishing because I would like to share my stories with readers. In it, Meg Ryan's character owns a quaint, charming children't bookstore called The Shop Around the Corner. I would love to have a little bookstore like this after I retire from teaching. I could read kids books and host tea parties. :) Of course, in the movie, a big business moves in, and the shop must close, so I don't know how realistic this dream of mine is.
