MACARENA BURGUERAWatch this video and answer the questions below:1. What are the two attitudes prisoners had in Austwiz?1st attitude: The ones who has lost faith, meaning and hope2nd attitude: The ones who look to life as a challenge that needs to be overcome.2. How did Frankl see his life experiences? He looked at them as learning events and he believed that suffering experiences have a meaning.3. When do people feel relieved from their suffering? When they find the meaning of that suffering.4. What is the remedy to frustration in life?To find the meaning in life, the purpose of your existence.5. What is there between the stimulus you get and your response to them? There is a gap called the freedom of choice where you can decide how are you going to act despite the external influences.6. If we can't change a situation, what do we need to change? Our personal attitude and how we respond to the situation.7. What is the way to get happiness and success?? Do you think people know this? The way is to forget about them because they can’t be pursued. Instead of looking at success, money or fame you have to aim at your purpose in life, a bigger cause. By trying to achieve it you’ll find success without expecting it.

How did Frankl see his life experiences?
Frank discovered that in life, you can either make a victory of your experiences or you can ignore the challenge.
During his camp experience, he thought of future lectures that he would be giving based on his experiences.
Consequently, his current life experiences became more objective, since he looked at that as learning events: you can find meaning and hidden opportunities in any challenge, suffering or misfortune.

3. When do people feel relieved from their suffering?
When they find meaning in their life, a purpose, something bigger than themself.

4. What is the remedy to frustration in life?

The constant possibility of choice: you can ALWAYS choose, decide.

1) Which are the two attitudes prisioners had in Auschwitz?

Viktor differentiates two types of prisoners according to their attitude to the circumstances.
There were the prisoners who gave up, who lost the meaning of their lives and the faith in their future. And there were the prisoners who, faced with those terrible circumstances, decided to face their suffering as a challenge, who overcame the circumstances.

2) How did Frankl see his life experiences?

Everything he experienced in the concentration camp was for him an opportunity to learn. Learn how to find meaning to all the suffering that was experienced there.
He firmly believed that suffering ceased to be when you found meaning.

And that's how Viktor saw his experiences, for him that suffering became an opportunity for achievement

3) When do people feel relieved from the suffering?

When, like Viktor, they found a meaning of the suffering they are experiencing

4) What is the remedy to frustration in live?

Finding a meaning in your life. Searchign the purpose in your life.

5) What is there between the stimulus you get and your response to them?

The possibility to choose our reaction to the things that happen in our life. There are many situations that we can not choose, and many times we can not change, but we will always have the freedom to decide our attitude to the events that happen in our lives

6) If we can´t change a situation , what we do need to change?

Our attitude What really matters is the attitude with which we face those circumstances, which we have not chosen.
Probably many times we will not be able to change the circumstances in which we find ourselves, but at any moment we will have the freedom to change our way of dealing with those situations

7) What is the way to get happiness and success? Do you think people know this?

The key to success and happiness is love.
You have to find your purpose, the meaning of your life. Only when you love what you do, then will you find happiness. Happiness can not be pursued, it is something that simply arrives, just like success. Happiness and success can not be the purpose, it is rather a consequence of having achieved your goals by loving what you do, loving your life and loving others.

I think people do not know that because we live in a society that sees success and money as an end and not as a possible consequence. The people of today aim to achieve success and money, regardless of the means they have used, or the people they have left, the only thing that matters is their goal. And they think that with that success and that money, happiness will just jump in.
I think it's this mentality that does not let them see that that is far from being the case

1) Which are the two attitudes prisioners had in Auschwitz?

We can find two types of attitudes among the prisoners. The vast majority of them lost hope and died in a short time, while others, apparently weaker and malnourished, refused to faint and give up. Viktor came to the conclusion that these people had someone outside who depended on them.

2) How did Frankl see his life experiences?
To live in the first person the hunger, the cold and the endless horror of the extermination camps, helped Viktor to develop virtues such as compassion, courage and a good sense of humor. Furthermore, he came up with the idea that, in fact, there is a ultimate meaning in life; that doesn't depend on others. It is a clear reference to the spiritual meaning of life.

3) When do people feel relieved from the suffering?

"When the human being has reason for it, he can go through any how" (Viktor Frankl)

Sharing the difficulty, giving it a name and expressing it , reduces suffering. You have to give a sense of suffering, that is, turn the obstacle into an opportunity.

4) What is the remedy to frustration in live?
We hear many times the sentence: "I want but I can not" we observe, all the potentiality of what there is, but at the same time we can notice the inaction and the restriction . Therefore, the frustration can be solved when there is action and this way the sense appears, that leaves frustration behind.

5) What is there between the stimulus you get and your response to them?
Between the stimulus and the response to them we can find the freedom of choice, that is the ability that no-one can take away from us.

6) If we can´t change a situation , what we do need to change?
Because we are free we can modify any situation changing our attitude. We can conclude that what makes us suffer is not what happens to us, it is the way of seeing what happens to us.

7) What is the way to get happiness and success? Do you think people know this?

One way to achieve happiness and success is to put aside everything which has no value and focus on achieving an objective, it is also important to handle emotional intelligence by managing emotions.
As far as I am concerned, people don't know this, due to the fact self-control is required to be able to stand firm despite the storms that happen around us.

1)Which are the two attitudes prisioners had in Auschwitz?
The two attitudes that the prisoners had.
The first involved the surrender, let yourself carry, give up their freedom, i.e., abandoned to itself. German soldiers had imposed rules that had to comply. German soldiers believed that the prisoners were worse than animals. Those who had this attitude, came to believe it.
Those free prisoners had the second attitude. The soldiers had also imposed standards on them, but never changed his thoughts or beliefs. Never let the soldiers stealing them love or friendship, never stopped believing in God.
2)How did Viktor see his life experiences?
Viktor took advantage of experiences in the concentration camp to improve their humility, their friendship and their capacity to love. He did not overcome by the negativity of others, and was always available to help their brothers from the concentration camp.
3) When do people feel relieved from the suffering?
The people who stop suffering may feel good, but they can also feel good those who suffer but they find the meaning to their suffering. When they find a reason to move forward and have a life with true meaning.
4) What is the remedy to frustration in live?
The best way to deal with frustration is love, feel loved and try to find what is the reason that you exist. You need to be aware of you have a purpose in life and it is the reason why you were born. A good question to overcome the frustration is “who can be helped by me?”
5) What is there between the stimulus you get and your response?
When something happens in your life, the difference between a free person and a person who does not know well their freedom is that the first person take an attitude to overcome and to continue their life, and continue the fight. The key is "how deal with what happens to us"

6) If we can´t change a situation, what we do need to change?

If we can not change a situation of our life, we can change how we feel to it. We can choose to not let us go, we can choose to not surrender. If you are able to give a meaning to a problem, or the suffering, you can even in a painful moment, be a little happy.
7) What is the way to get hapiness and success?
The way to happiness is to love. There are painful moments of our life, there are moments in which we wounded, in those moments it is difficult to love, it is difficult to find the meaning to life. But if you find it, if you listen to that God tells you, if you stop to look the reality and you love in the tough times, you get to feel your life will be good. You will reach happiness and success.

1) Which are the two actitudes prisoners had in Auschwitz?
The prisoners from the concenration camp in Auschwitz were people who had suffered a lot. For this reason people ended up facing their lifes in very different ways, this is why depending on what kind of attitude the prisoners face life with determined their happines. Victor Frankl describes two types of attitude prisoners had in Auschwitz: There were a group of people who had lost faith, meaning and hope in the future, these were the ones who weren't able to overcome their challenges in life. The other kind of people were the ones who looked at life as a challenge to be overcomed. The ones who had a why to live were more likely to survive. Finding a meaning in life is very important because He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.

2) How did Victor see his life experiences?
Victor Frankl saw his life experiences as a way to learn about the purpose and the meaning of life. In the concentration camp in Auschwtz they learnt how to love and be loved, how to live and live with a meaning, with a purpose.

3)When do people feel relieved from the suffering?
People feel relieved fom the suffering when they find a meaning to it. When somene has a why they can bear almos any how. Suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds meaning.

4)What is the remedy to frustration in life?
The remedy to existential frustration, in our existance we are bored and without meaning we become frustrated with life. This is why Victor Frankl always said that we had to find meaning in life, a purpose, something bigger than yoursef.

5)What is there between the stimulus you get and your response?
It is the freedom to chose how to respond to any given situation.

6)If we can't change a situation, what do we need to change?
It is not the experience that matters. What matters is how you interpret and react to the experience. It is how we interpret the experiences that give them meaning. Your interpretations of your experiences shape your beliefs and theories about the world which influence the way you live your life. We can not change the experiences we can change the attitude with wich we face them.

7) What is the way to get happiness and success?
The keys to happiness and succes in life is to be happy and to make everyone around you happy. An the most important way to achieve this is with love.

1A BAC
1) Which are the two attitudes prisoners had in Auschwitz?
Firstly, as Viktor Frankl said, your attitude determines your behaviour. Attitude is the position taken on, the way in wich you respond to a situation.
Therefore, in the concentration camp, those who decide to adopt an inspiring and encouraging attitude were able to struggle and challenge the diary suffering in Auschwitz. They had more possibilities to survive. Although their body was destroyed, their spirits and wills to live were alive.
On the other hand, the majority of people was swept along the hopelessness, with an attitude passive. They did not find a meaning to live inside the horrible world of misery that was Auschwitz.
As a man said: "With a possitive attitude, your problems become challenges and your obstacles, lessons."
2) How did Victor see his life experiences?
As a chance to help, give advice, inspire hope and mainly as a way to put into practice all the studies he had made about the logotherapy and human beings´ sense of life.
3)When do people feel relieved from the suffering?
When prisoners found a why to live, they could get over any difficulty and better theirselves.
4)What is the remedy to frustration in life?
The remedy is to find the meaning of our lives and ask ourselves the next questions: why are we here? what is our mission? why do we do what we do and not other things? which are our purposes? how are we going to achieve our goals?
5)What is there between the stimulus you get and your response?
Charles R. Swindoll said ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. LIFE IS 10% WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU AND 90% HOW YOU REACT TO IT.
Everything depends on the behaviour we have response to life. It is not good to react with stimulus as if we were animals. Instead of instincts, human has to choose accurately his behaviour.
6)If we can't change a situation, what do we need to change?
As I have commented before on the previous question, what matters is our attitude. There are hard situations that we can not change, however we can change our attiude to overcome it.
7) What is the way to get happiness and success?
It is not money, brands, properties, rich people...what will make you happy and successfull. It is loving what you do: love your life, live what you love and happiness will be yours.

What is the remedy to frustration in life?
The main remedy for frustration in life is to discover that the end of your life is love; that to be able to live their life being fully happy they must learn to love fully.

5. What is there between the stimulus you get and your response to them?
Your freedom, but not understood as external freedom, freedom to "be able to do", but your inner freedom, your ability to choose the attitude you have in front of the reality that arises.

6.
