Simple present tense

We use it to talk about facts, habits, and permanent situations.

Present progressive tense

We use it to describe actions happening right now or temporary situations.

Example: I am reading

Simple past tense

We use it to talk about completed actions or events that happened at a specific time in the past.

Examples:

Affirmative: ( I / He / She worked yesterday.

Negative: ( He / She didn’t work yesterday.

Question: did you work yesterday?

Past progressive tense

We use it to describe a continuous action in the past that was interrupted by a shorter, sudden action.

Structure: past progressive (was/were + verb-ing) + When + Simple Past.

1. The Unification of Saudi Arabia
