His wife is Amphitrite, and he had three kids. Sometimes, when he becomes angry, he could flood the whole city, or the whole country. He doesn't forgive humans when they don’t sacrifice him. But if he is in a good mood, he might forgive you, and if you do good things Poseidon could give you a present or money! 
Poseidon was the bridge between the county. Because many people wanted to trade with other countries. So they believed that if they pray, worship and sacrifice the sea God, Poseidon would not call the storms and tsunami. But if you are very poor, but you need to trade with other humans, but you have nothing to give the sea God, so if you only pray to him, what will he do? Kill him? The answer is: I dunno. It’s because every day, Poseidon’s mood changes, so when he is in a good, and wonderful mood, he could just be patient and wouldn't bother you, but if he is on a bad, terrible mood, the sea God could not accept your movements that you didn't even give him a cow, so maybe he could call the storms and the tsunami, and it could actually kill you.
