Is training in two or more exercises in order to improve fitness and performance, also Cross training is any workout that complements your normal routine, helping to even out potential muscle imbalances or weaknesses. It ultimately enhances your fitness level while reducing your likelihood of injury. An e.g. of two exercises you can cross train is sprinting and jogging this improves your cardiovascular endurance because by sprinting the average sprinter has a low resting pulse when going from a sprinter to a jog it lowers the heart rate gradually which conditions the CV system. The benefits of doing this is that Cross training helps strengthen your non-running muscles and rests your running muscles.

bibliography;
Very well.com

Is another word for weight training. It is a form of exercise that improves muscular strength also endurance. Resistance training improves strength which improves power, this happens when you move your limbs against resistance provided by your body weight, gravity, bands, weighted bars or dumbbells. The benefits of this type of training is that it increases muscle strength by making your muscles work against a weight or force also it improves mobility and balance. resistance training is also a benefit to you because it increases bone density.

bibliography;
Very well.com
Google deffanition

Continuous training is a type of training that is performed at one intensity throughout and doesn’t involve any rest. It mostly involves aerobic activities such as running, biking, swimming and rowing.

As you are working for a long period of time, the body's demand for oxygen is very high. Therefore improving your body's maximum oxygen intake.

Some of the benefits of continuous training include improved cardiovascular endurance and general fitness. As well as reduced amounts of body fat. However as continuous training is done over a prolonged period of time it can get a little boring after a while.

Reference (BrainMac2016)

Interval Training

Interval training is when you exercise at high intensity and then have a period in which you exercise at low intensity or rest. For example an athlete runs 800m at high intensity and then jog for 100m, this is one rep. Completing this 5-10 would complete the set.

During the run, lactic acid is produced and a state of oxygen debt is reached. During the interval or rest period, the heart and lungs are still stimulated as they try to pay back the debt by supplying oxygen to help break down the lactates. The stresses put upon the body cause an adaptation including capitalization, strengthening of the heart muscles and improved oxygen uptakes. All this leads to improved aerobic endurance and overall improved performance.

One benefit of interval training is that it mixes aerobic and anaerobic exercises which replicates team games such as football. However, it can get boring if it lasts too long as well as difficult when you begin to fatigue.

Reference (teachpe2016)
(BrainMac2016)
