Friends play an immense part in another youth’s life. An example of a male student from Yishun-Innova Junior College (YIJC) was involved in a police investigation after a video taken at the tertiary institution depicted what appears to be racially insensitive behaviour and negative stereotypes being acted out in classrooms on Racial Harmony Day. This act is not a one man’s job, there must have been cooperation from the video taker and the student himself for this video to go viral. For they both may be close and had come up with this idea together, they both had influence over each other and impacted their way of carrying out an inappropriate act. The Tuas link immigration checkpoint incident is one example. The incident was nothing extreme but because of the mothers actions, it went viral online. The car that was behind the mothers car got too close and accidentally scratched the family’s car. As a result, the mother threw a tantrum and tried to stop the carwhile throwing vulgarities at the driver, even tearing the license plate of the car! Witnessing his mother doing such actions, the son eventually went out of the car to imitate such actions, pointing  the middle finger and showing his butt, just to name a few. It’s evident that children will witness these actions. However, whether they choose to follow their footsteps is their choice. As an older sister, I have greater responsibilities to bear not just in my studies as well as taking care of my family and being a good role model to my siblings, if I were to be a bad role model to my siblings such as using the phone on the table while eating which is not allowed in my family, my siblings may think it is the right thing to do and will follow me. It is normal for children to follow whatever the older child do or what the adults do but as a teenagers we know what is right as we have grown up and matured. Based on the article, the Toyota collided with a Kia sedan and a Chinese man and woman alighted from the Toyota the Chinese man then shouted and gestured vulgarities towards the victim in the Kia sedan car, while the woman went on to remove victim's car plate and threw it on the victim's windshield. When the driver walked away out of shot, the woman stood in front of his car in a bid to prevent the vehicle from moving forward, while also attempting to record photos or videos with her phone. This tells me that the woman was at fault here and was being unreasonable as when she threw the car plate on the victim’s windshield, it could have broke through the windshield and badly hurt the victim’s or when bouncing of the windshield, hurt bystanders nearby.
