I love this medium because there are so many directions animation can go in, and it can be created with nearly any tools. There are unlimited possibilities with animation

Creating a world through creative mediums, such as animation, is super interesting to me because the possibilities in creating worlds are limitless. An example of world building is Studio Ghibli's Castle in the Sky who successfully created a world surrounding the lost "castle in the sky". I just feel there are many creative outlets into creating your own world, especially through mixing fact and fiction together.

Having a strong character design is very important to the narrative because you want the character to fit in with the world that they exist in. From this character, I can tell that maybe they live in the wild and explore things like magic, etc.
Credits to Vupol on Instagram

In a post-apocalyptic world, whatever characters are there are starting from a place which society had already existed, and trying to figure out there way through this new world

Another method of animation which can also be successful in telling stories, for example the Nightmare before Christmas. The Nightmare Before Christmas uses stop motion animation to animate characters, and they do this through having molds of each character's movement, for example the mouth movement for talking. I love the outcome of stop motion animation because it feels organic, and, it could just be me, but it's always given off an uncanny valley vibe which I also really enjoy.
