You have to choose one accent when you do your next speaking and writing tasks. In other words, if you want to write or speak in American English, you must use the words and the their correct pronunciation (American English has a rothic accent and British English is a non-rothic accent).

I think that when I hear “aubergine” I get hungry.

I prefer British accent because it sounds more polite than the American one.

I always hear the word “truck” in American movies and I love this word. I wish we learnt more American words in our English lessons.

When I visited London, I saw a shop called “Sweets and Treats” I realised “sweet” means “candy” when I heard a song of Robbie Williams with that title :)

In my opinion, “elevator” is easier to remember because it sounds like “elevate”.

In my opinion, it’s funny that “pavement” in American English means “the road surface”, not the same!

Eating crisps is the best thing you can do ever!!! However, this one always confuses me… In the UK, “chips” are “ french fries”, and “crisps” are what Americans call “chips”.

I like both words, but “trainers” sounds more sporty.
