Groups of squirrel monkeys are forced to be crammed together more into a smaller space due to habitat loss. This can carets competition for food and hinder the population’s numbers.  Another limiting factor is illegal hunting and poaching. Pros - Would be effective controlling entire populations as squirrel monkeys are social animals
Cons - Could spread to humans or mutate

Method 2: Place bounties on squirrel monkeys where for every one caught you got a reward.
Pros - Has the possibility to stop the growth of the population and wouldn’t require government force.
Cons - Could cause breeders to just breed and claim the bounty, could be expensive, and might not be enough manpower.

Method 3: Set many types of traps to see which works to best and change more traps to whatever works best.
Pros - If done right, could be cheap and effective.
Cons - Traps may catch wrong species or might not work.
