This is one of the most favorite foods in Afghanistan. Nan is whole wheat bread and it is baked in flat sheets. Out where there isn't many stores, it is baked on hot rocks. The person who makes it uses utensils to poke holes in it to give it more crust. Then people with ovens throw it up on the side of the fire place and let it cook. Somebody has to watch what is happening or else it might fall into the fire place and burn.
