The First and Second Great Awakening for America helped fuel two revolutions/wars. The First Great Awakening emphasized a God who hated people and created strict religion like puritans. The actions from the awakening caused many to question the British government and led to the American Revolution. The Second Great Awakening emphasized a God who loves all. The Second Awakening, more preachers allowed women to pray openly in the church and encouraged women to be involved so to raise their children to be Christian. The first Great Awakening told women to sit in silence and not be active in the church. The Second Great Awaking caused many to question slavery and why America had slavery if it was a sin. Ideas that were had in the Civil War.
