Traditional Dutch clothing is very recognizable. According to an article about traditional Dutch clothing worn throughout the years, Dutch clothing has been an icon around the world. The article says "The most famous item is the often-mimicked wooden clogs or Klompen, but these shoes are not the only hallmarks of Holland" (Traditional Dutch Clothing, 2022). Along with the clogs, Dutch clothing is also known for other clothing items too. Some of these items include the kraplap (heavily starched cloth worn around the shoulders) along with the klepbroek, which are pants worn by the men. Women traditionally wore pointed, curled hats, along with long dresses and aprons. During specific times of life, for mourning or celebration, the traditional Dutch clothing changes as well. The Dutch have specific costume changes to recognize special moments. "The Dutch tended not to change their entire outfit, but rather, they altered some of the outer accessories: Women often had rough aprons and outdoor bonnets for work and smarter, more elegant aprons and dressy bonnets for shopping and visiting people. The most elegant Dutch outfits were worn for special occasions such as weddings and for going to church on Sundays" (Deloughry, 2018). While traditional Dutch clothing is not seen today, there are still regions in which still wear the clothing and celebrate it.

During an event called Tulip Time, traditional Dutch dances are conducted in celebration of Dutch heritage. Dutch dancing began in 1935, with high school girls performing at this festival. The dancers were called Klompen dancers. These dancers wore white organdy caps, and aprons, and wore blue-colored costumes. Throughout the years, these traditional Dutch costumes have changed to reflect different Dutch provinces utilizing the patterns on the clothing. The dance of the Netherlands is called different names including "Folkloristisch", "Boerendansen", or "Klompendansen".

While when thinking of Dutch food, most people will think of bland recipes or pancakes, traditional Dutch food dives much deeper than that. A popular dish in Holland is the Hollandse nieuwe haring. Typically seen as controversial, many people indulge in this raw herring as a snack. According to an article describing popular dishes of the Dutch tradition, the author talks about Sate, saying that while originating from Asia, and similar to satay sauce, it's used regularly by the Dutch, using the sauce as if it is Ketchup or Mayonaise as Americans use for french fries. Another popular snack of the Dutch would be the Dutch Doughnuts, which are also traditionally called Oliebollen.
