         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stew Peas is a traditional dish cooked in Jamaica, usually cooked on a Sunday as a dish made to share with family and friends.<br><br>Jamaican slaves were only given 1 day off a week, Sunday's.<br>On Sunday's is when traditional dishes like rice and peas and Stew Peas were cooked because Jamaicans had enough time. Most of these types of dishes are slow cooked or marinated from the night before. Stew Peas didn't start showing up in cook books until the 1970's</div>]]></description>
