Both of the beginnings, foretell the endings of their story. In Romeo and Juliet, the prologue says, "A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life" (Line 5). This reminds me of Pyramus and Thisbe when the text states, "The death of two young lovers was the cause." (paragraph 1). These two pieces of text are very similar in many ways. In both stories, you have a pair of people who have fallen deeply in love. Their being together results in their death.

The scene that I draw the most connections to is the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet. "It was Pyramus, bathed in blood and dying. She flew to him and threw her arms around him. She kissed his cold lips and begged him to look at her, to speak to her. “It is I, your Thisbe, your dearest,” she cried to him. At the sound of her name he opened his heavy eyes for one look. Then death closed them. "
     Both Juliet and Thisbe got to tell their other half, that they loved them one last time before their love ultimately died. Yet if Romeo and Pyramus had only waited a few more mere seconds, they would've seen that they weren't dead and they could've had the life they dreamed of with their love

In Romeo and Juliet the feud is the cause, whereas in Pyramus and Thisbe their parents forbade them to marry for unspecified reasons. In both cases, they meet secretly. Pyramus and Thisbe would meet at, "...a little chink."(Ovid 3). Pyramus would talk to Thisbe everyday at the chink as opposed to Romeo who only met Juliet who only met each other twice, both on the same night, before deciding to wed.
Both in Romeo andJuliet and Pyramus and Thisbe their inability to be together grew their desire to be together. In Pyramus and Thisbe it describes it, "The more the flame is covered up, the hotter it burns."(Ovid 2). In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet becomes hysterical while waiting for the nurse to find Romeo, "The clock struck nine when I did the nurse. In halfIn half an hour she promised to return. Perchance she cannot meet him."(Shakespeare 2,5,3-5). This is where the first dialect between the lovers occurs in both stories.
