This exhibition explores the manner in which chocolate has been gendered and male and female representation.

Women are generally viewed as consumers of chocolate, while men are portrayed as producers.

The reason for the differentiation stems from stereotypical beliefs that women are intellectually interior and emotionally unsound in comparison to men.

These assertions will be exhibited through specific choices of chocolates that have been used in this manner including Cadbury's Flake, Rowntree's Smarties, Aero, Black Magic and KitKat chocolates.

Throughout this exhibition, questions related to gendered presentation will include the sexualisation of women, the portrayal of females as temptresses of men and the intellectual downgrading of women to present these objects.
