This morning was sooo unexpected and fun! We went to Galeri ZWC (Zero Waste Campaign), where I thought we would have a lecture. Buttttt it turned out we were gonna do a fashion show! So the ZWC place had a lott of second hand clothes, donated mostly by UM students. Our job was to be as creative as possible and make outfits out of the clothes! I, unfortunately, lost a game in my team, so was forced to become one of the models. They dressed me up in purple and yellow, and my friend said i looked like an 'ibu-ibu jamu', which is a lady that sells herbal drinks in Indonesia lol. Anyway, i had a lot of fun even though i was pretty nervous as well as fhe model.

In the afternoon, we had a long break because of the Friday prayer, and I took the time to nap. Afterwards, there was a lecture on how we can use community spaces, especially mosques, to help with sustainability and also the zero waste initiative. It was really interesting and cool to listen about the things that they do and were planning to do too.

Our mystery item was a small basket and we decided to do a cottage core outfit. I got a bit of a mishap dressing up because some of the clothes are too small or too big (I had to remove my original shirt to fit). Although at the end we failed to have a matching fit, it turned out well! I really love seeing all of the other models especially group 8 they did a whole drama it was so funny. The second activity was about green mosque advocacy and that too was interesting.

Today was 7.9/10!!

HOPE FOR A GREATER TOMORROW <3

In the afternoon, I attended a lecture on Green Mosque Advocacy: Imarah Eco Surau. The session focused on environmental awareness, sustainability, and the role of eco-friendly initiatives in our community. I learned more about how we can take responsibility for protecting the environment and contribute to building a greener lifestyle. It was an inspiring talk that encouraged me to reflect on how I can play a role in environmental advocacy.

Overall, today was a meaningful and enjoyable day, filled with fun activities and valuable lessons. 🌿✨💞

In the afternoon, at first, I wondered how the Green Mosque advocacy: Imarah Eco Surau would turn out, but it opened my eyes in many ways. It showed how Malaysia promotes sustainability and reduces carbon emissions, not only through institutions like UM but also by involving communities. It also connected deeply with the spiritual perspective that caring for nature is part of God’s guidance. This reminded me of how faith and responsibility for the earth are more closely linked to our daily lives than we often realize. The campaign’s alignment with the SDGs further emphasized how these efforts create real impact. Overall, it was a memorable and meaningful day at UM, and I’m excited to see what’s next!

The highlight of the day was the fashion show using donated clothes and it was so much fun and very creative!❤️✨🍃

The most fun part was definitely our design activity! We got to dress up our friends, our modell our Vietnam girl and Thailand girl 💗and create some really unique looks. It was a great way to be creative and laugh a lot together. 😄🎨

The learning didn't stop there. We also delved into Green Mosque advocacy, which was a completely new and fascinating topic for me. It's amazing to see how faith and sustainability can come together. 🕌🌱 Btw my name is Fitri Indonesia from group ten✨

We started with the introduction to UM Zero Waste Campaign at Galeri ZWC. The speaker gave the very inspiring speech about the way to reduce the waste. Then we started to design clothes for the fashion show. Each group has shown very creative and nice looks.

In the afternoon, we attended a very special lecture on the topic of Green Moque Advocacy. This topic today was very inspiring and insightful about the zero waste. I have gained really good initiative ideas to bring back to my home university.

Another special activity is that we, group 10, had a dinner together with buddies to have more talk, more close, and fun together.

Today's activities were the best memories for me. I can't wait to gain more good memories in  the next day.

The lecture in the afternoon widened my knowledge of Islam and religious ecology. This will be very useful for me to start ecological projects with community engagement based on religions 🕌🧕

The second activity, the Green Advocacy session from Universiti Malaya about a Green Mosque, was really eye-opening. I never thought religion could also play such a big role in environmental ethics, but it actually makes a lot of sense. It showed me that caring for the environment is not just about science or activism but can also be tied to culture and spirituality.

From both activities, I learned that youth like us can really be empowering if we combine creativity with responsibility. Whether it’s through fashion shows or green art, we can make sustainability fun and engaging. The happiest part for me today was definitely the fashion show because I felt like I was living in Hogwarts for a while, but the green art session also gave me meaningful insights. After today, I feel inspired to maybe start a small creative project in my community that promotes sustainability in a fun and relatable way.

I'm so lucky because I am chosen as the model of group 6. All my team members are really good at chosing clothes. That's why I and Natsumi have beautiful clothes to walk in fashion show. Moreover, we can see creative thinking of another group. They're số creative and so crazy. 🤣

In the afternoon, we also have a class about Green Mosque Advocacy. It helps me know that we can teach how to protect environment through Mosque. 😲

In the afternoon, we learned about the Eco Surau, which was very interesting. However, I felt really sleepy because I was full from lunch and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I am tan na from group 4 💃💤🤪

In the afternoon, I learned a lot from the lecturers and even picked up some new Arabic words. That really surprised me and made me think about new things today.🤣👏🏻

In the afternoon, we attended a lecture at the Green Mosque advocacy. This session gave me a different perspective on sustainability. I realized that protecting the environment is not only a scientific or practical matter, but also a moral and community responsibility. It encouraged me to think about how my own actions can inspire others to live more sustainably.

Overall, today strengthened my awareness of sustainability from both a practical and ethical standpoint, motivating me to apply these lessons in my daily life.

The fashion show was very intense 😭🥀 I love my group.

The lecture on green mosques was also very insightful, as the push for eco consciousness in religious spheres could really be maximized for the betterment of the community.

My most favorite gem of the day is when I got the alien stuff toy! It was supposed to be given to my cousin as he likes toy story but I think I became attached to it already ahahahhaha

We had a lot of thrifted things as a souvenir which is really kind of unique experience here. I didn't expect it to happen.

Lastly, I also gain new knowledge on how we integrate sustainability in our own religion practices :)

Today we had a fashion show using second-hand clothes and single-use plastics. It was not only fun but also a way to think about reusing what seems like garbage. The task with plastic was to make us explore reuse and also raise awareness. I realized single-use plastic doesn’t fit our lives, so we should prevent buying it and instead use creativity to reduce waste. I love thrifting because it’s cute, sustainable, and creates a beautiful cycle.

The “Green from Religion” movement also caught my attention; such a thoughtful initiative since religious communities are usually so tightly connected, making it a powerful way to spread awareness. To wrap it all up, the most memorable part was celebrating my friend’s birthday at dinner—everyone cheered, laughed, and made it extra special. 🎂🌿💚
