Jelgava Palace is the largest Baroque-style palace in Latvia. It was built in the 18th century based on the design of architect Francesco Rastrelli. Originally, it was used as the residence of the Duke of Courland and later was turned into an educational institution. Today the palace is used by the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies.

The building has been preserved almost intact and a museum has been established inside reflecting the history of the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia.

the Holy Trinity Church Tower is one of the most important historical symbols in Jelgava. The original church was built in 1574 and was destroyed during World War II. However, the tower was preserved and has been restored, transforming it into a modern tourist attraction.

An interactive museum has been created inside the tower, along with a viewing platform offering a stunning panorama of the city.

Jelgava Palace is one of the most important palaces in Latvia.It was built in the 18th century by the order of Duke Ernst Johann von Biron.
The palace was designed by the famous architect Francesco Rastrelli.Over the years the palace was used as a home for the duke, a university and a military base.
Today Jelgava Palace is visited by many tourists.

Only the tower was saved and later was renovated.
Inside the tower a museum was created, and from the top the city can be seen beautifully.

A memorial site where a memorial stone was erected on June 14, 1989, to the people of Jelgava who suffered and died in the Soviet genocide against the Latvian people. In 2008, in memory of those who died in communist repression, a memorial "The Path of Suffering" was opened in Svētbirzē. It was designed as a railway embankment about twenty meters long.

Monument to the Liberators of Jelgava "Lāčplēsis"

The monument is located in Stacijas Square and was unveiled on November 21, 1992. Its author is sculptor Andrejs Jansons, who restored the monument "Lāčplēsis and the Black Knight", created by his father Kārlis Jansons with public donations and unveiled in 1932. After World War II, the monument was destroyed, a fragment of it was found in 1988 and is currently located at the Ģ. Elias Jelgava History and Art Museum.
