Plate tectonics are sections of crust that move, slide, push, and pull from each other. Pushing forms mountain ranges and, in the early stages of our earth, the continents we have today. These continents sit on these plates. The sliding of plates is where fault lines are, also known as a hot spot for earthquakes. The pullinf of plates away from each other cause the release of hot magma. This is also where oceanic crust is created.

The thicker ones lay on top of the thinner ones just barely overlapping. But sometimes the syrup gets slippery and the thinner one slides more under the thicker ones. Other times they push against each other and they would have made a pancake mountain.

Plate tectonics is a scientific theory stating the the Earth's crust is broken into plates which move slowly across the top layer of the mantle. The plates move due to the convection currents in the mantle. Since the top layer of the mantle is solid and cooler while the bottom layer is liquid and warmer, the cooler parts sink and the warmer parts rise, it causes movement which moves the plates too.

Plate tectonics are a scientific theory that proclaims that the Earth's crust is split into 12 pieces. Due to convection currents under the mantle, plate tectonics alway move. There are 3 types of plate tectonic boundaries. Converging is when two plate tectonics are moving into the same direction at each other causing one of the plates subduct into the mantle. Divergent is when they are separating and causes trenches. There is also Transform boundaries. These boundaries cause the infamous earthquakes.
