It is a mini compartment ( I'm not sure what to call it) made out of wood. The wood is not bought from a store but is recycled. As I learn Taekwondo outside, we often have demonstrations of test in which we kick these boards. Usually, those boards will be thrown or just kept for sentimental value as it is usually pretty broken and splintered. However, my mum felt that it a waste and decided to upcycle it. She first took my own boards to experiment on before deciding that  it was doable and  then went  to the other parents to collect theirs. She then trimmed the sides to make it straight using a penknife and  later glued +nailed the different pieces together.
