He has done horrible things such as genocide, kidnapping, enslaving, selling young CHILDREN into a slavery no child should ever be sold into. Yes he did “discover America '' and that's how we are here today but even if he did hit Asian countries they would have been in a horrible hell just like the Native Americans. They would most likely be enslaved and forced to give up all their silk, spices, gunpowder, gold and other valuable items and maybe even force them to work for gold. I think that Columbus Day should be celebrated for bringing change. I don't believe that he brought good change to everyone, for example, the natives but it got us to where we are today and we are still improving from new mistakes. He did wrong to them but we improved and can learn from him to treat all people fairly and with respect. I also think Indigenous people's Day should be celebrated regardless of the many unique people of our country. It is wrong to not include part of our country in isn't right to remember the natives who were here first. They were the founders and they should be celebrated for who they are and what they did.
