Hello,
I'm an High school teacher of English in a upper secondary school (student 14-19).
My school focuses its curriculum in teaching students agronomy and several agricultural methods, so that, at the end of their 5 year course they will be able to start up a farm or an agriculture company.
I have always been very sensitive to environmental respect and I believe that we as humans are only a part of the big family which planet Earth hosts.
I have helped my students reflect on this issue, with specific didactic activities and letting them participate to various on-line conferences which have been organized by Italian Fridays for Future organisation, during the pandemic months.
I am very excited to start this course because I'm interested in learning new ways to teach students how to be personally involved in every-day life choices to slow down the extreme effects of climate change in our territory. I think that also agriculture is a bit guilty in this process of temperature rising and in land, air and water pollution. So, I'm keen to exchange ideas to implement my teaching strategies and my students'learning outcomes.

I am a German, music, drama and creativity teacher in secondary school, working with children and youths the ages 10-18.
I'm here, because climate change affects us all and should be taught in all subjects, all ages! Of course I also attend the course to learn more about scientific approaches and maybe get to learn other teachers interested in climate projects, in sustainability, in alternative ways our world could work - together.
I love my job as a teacher, as every student is different, it's such spirited and varied and the work with every class, with every single person can be so inpiring - and we have a lot of freedom in teaching them.
So I develop different projects in my school, actually f.ex. we're making little live pop-up comics as ambassadors of nature in ugly places of the city. With another class we stayed in the mountains for three days to explore the effects of climate change there or another class was woofing on organic farms...
But I'm sure there are so many other great ideas in this room, so I'm already very curious!

Fridays for Future was a young initiative.
Now they need our support.
