Students will be presented information on music listening and the characteristic tones of band instruments. The goal is to have students recognize the pre-existing experience with music before they start taking steps towards music making with the band instruments they are being introduced to. Then to build on that experience so they can use those instruments.

To incorporate Think Law into that lesson, students would be asked to share how they listen to music and compare it to the levels of music listening.
