Some activities clash with teachers’ duties. For example, when we bring students on learning journeys, we may not be able to join events like Pantry Sales.

Staff room : permanent staff should not sit near the door/entrance. It can be quite disruptive for them. Teachers need to focus in their work & marking. Mayb it cld be used for contract or adjunct staff.

Considering collaborative skills in possible cross committee initiatives. Scan possibilities to integrate work processes and be more strategic in our efforts to promote well-being. Leverage the PERMAH framework. It will support the integration of efforts as well.

Well-being passport or points system: Let staff earn points by participating in activities, which can be exchanged for small rewards. For example, like a bingo game where staff engage in healthy habits such as eating nutritious food. At the end of the year, points can be redeemed for rewards like vouchers. It’s not just a per-term initiative — it’s a year-long plan.

For EAOS Appreciation Activity, we can encourage students other than student leaders to present the cards to the eaos staff.

1. Staff “Passion Hour” Showcase
Organise a session once each term where teachers and staff can share their personal interests or hobbies (such as flower arrangement, photography, music, baking, etc.). This promotes self-expression and strengthens mutual appreciation among colleagues.

We often ask students to write thank-you cards to others, but teachers themselves rarely express appreciation to one another. Therefore, in the later part of Term 3, we could take the opportunity during Teachers’ Day to set aside 30 minutes for staff to prepare small gifts or write thank-you cards to colleagues, as a way to show appreciation for the support and help received over the past year.
