Here is a picture of Miley going against the typical "country girl" image people had of her. This picture connects to isolation in American culture because she has become an outcast in the media for being herself. At a big music award, she twerked and the world went crazy. But can't she do what she wants without people going bananas? Perhaps not if she is so in the spotlight.

This article talks about how there is loneliness and isolation, and they both feed off of each other even though they are different concepts. Loneliness is based on the quality of life you're living, while isolation is separation that could or could not be intentional. If either one is raised, then it can lead to the other rising also, which overall leads to higher death rates. So if you choose to isolate yourself you have a much higher chance of mortality from loneliness. But a community can be stressful. In, this picture the figure in the middle is separated from everyone else. He has boundaries keeping him away from the others. The figure is also red while all the others are yellow so he doesn't quite fit in. The tings keeping him away from the others are isolating him. Fame can really wear out a person in time, but they usually can't get out of the light because every movement, post, even a breath is being watched. Here we see him in a pensive moment which could reflect his feelings of being isolated. These feelings eventually became so overwhelming that Cobain took his own life. This could be the ultimate example of how isolation affects people in American culture. The irony of Cobain's isolation and his tragic ending is that there were literally millions of people that forced him into isolation due to their demands on him as fans, and the same millions of fans that would have given the shirts off their backs to help him through his traumatic isolation. i would say it is better to be in the community then to be isolated, because everyone in the community in this picture seems together and better protected. The red guy is isolated because he is not part of the circle. He is also isolated because he is red. The red one seems sad and all the others are happy i think it’s because they have others. I think isolation causes sadness in a lot of ways compared to a community that has people to help you out.

Drago is part of a community but outside of the community, he is isolated from the world. After being knocked out by heavyweight world champion, Rocky Balboa, in avenge of Apollo's death, Drago spent his years without his wife, without wealth, and being prisoned. This is also a tyranny for this concept because this possibly remarks the Cold war for the Rocky movie that showed between the Russians and the Americans of how they were mean to each other because of communism. But this also may have been a possiblity with the two countries with economics. Notre Dame isn't part of a conference in college football. This isolates them since they do not belong anywhere and have any organized area. Since they don't have a conference and are isolated they sometimes are not chosen for some bowl games. They choose to isolate themselves though since they could join a conference if they wanted to but choose instead not to. In there case it isn't really a big negative they are isolated either since it gives them more freedom.

This is an illustration by Futarinokizuna_ titled Social anxiety. It's hard to reach out and talk when it feels like every movement is being judged. It's like playing with a bomb. This isolation affects my life in a way, although my social anxiety isn't as bad as others, but it's up there. I come off as awkward, and every time I finish talking with someone, I become more self aware of how awkward I am, and I feel so much smaller than I already feel. That's why, I think just some people are better to be isolated, people like me, that just wants to get away from the world because they think they're not as functional. This light house is isolated already by itself in the middle of the ocean. But it also shows that you can still get stuff done while you’re isolated. Terry Davis is known to everyone as "Gods Lonely Programmer". The reason for that is because he was schizophrenic. Which doesn't mean you have multiple personality's, but that the reality you see is far different from what someone with schizophrenia would see. He believed that isolation has affected him positively, and although he didn't get worse, he certainly didn't get better. As he dived further and further into isolation, his insanity went into the depths with him, being his guiding light. He was only understood by schizophrenics like himself.

i think it is better to be isolated. the reason why i think its better to be isolated is because everyone annoys me at one point or another. i dont like people because people are not trust worthy any more. people lie, steal, kill, and a lot other of messed up things usually out of greed. Tommy Silverstein is proof that some people are better to be isolated, because of how he has killed so many people. He was first charged with armed robbery then in prison he murdered two of his inmates. This shows that some people should be isolated for other people’s safty.
But i think that in the end after so long in isolation you will need to come out and have some human interaction so u don’t go insane.
