1.  Ponyboy changes his perspective on the Socs and realizes they are much alike.
2.  he goes from a gentle scared boy to a strong and tough boy. saving kids from church, 
3. standing up when the Socs came for him at the end. and standing up to Darry

 
Through out 'The Outsider' Ponyboy changed immensely as he grows up in the novel. He takes matters into his own hands when he risked his life to save children for the burning church. He also changes his prospective on the Socs understanding that they are alike and that they have problems too. As the novel progresses Pony starts to stand up for himself and not to let people walk over him

The changes of Ponyboy is defiantly immense though the book. The mindset, language, and the actions he takes all developed thoughout the novel, as Pony learns to become more mature and 'different" from the other Greasers, he understands whats right and wrong. After experiencing the death of Johnny and Dally's he really starts changing into a young adult. Therefore Ponyboy has massive difference from the start to now.

Conclusion:
Ponyboy changes immensely over the course of the 'The Outsiders. He grows up immensely especially in the ways he views the Socs, the way he turns very brave mainly how he saves kids from the church and stands up to the Socs at the end and how he navigated the death of his two very close friends. Initially, Ponyboy was much of a gullible character and was influenced by the many gang members around him.
