Hello,   

We are sorry to see you go and wish you nothing but the best. To successfully withdraw your student(s) from WVVA, one of the following must be satisfied:  

1. Transfer to another school -  a request for records from the school they will be attending must be received in order for WVVA to complete the transfer. The school can email a records request to wvvarecords@westvaacademy.org or fax a request to 304.220.3104. 

2. Hope Scholarship - parents must submit a copy of the NOI to both the Superintendent of the county of residence and to West Virginia Virtual Academy. The NOI can be emailed to wvvarecords@westvaacademy.org or faxed to 304.220.3104 and serves as the official request for WVVA to withdraw the student in the West Virginia Educational Information System (WVEIS). HOPE Scholarship specific questions should be sent to Hopescholarshipwv@wvsto.com. 

3. Homeschool - Parents are required to send a traditional homeschool notice of intent under exemption (c) to their local county superintendent. Upon receipt of the traditional notice of intent, the county board of education shall notify WVVA to withdraw the student. The local board of education can provide this notification via email (wvvarecords@westvaacadmy.org) by fax (304.220.3104).  

IMPORTANT: Your student should continue attending classes and completing assignments until this documentation is received, so their grades and attendance are not affected. 

*Required documentation must be received before we are able to withdraw or transfer your student(s). No exceptions.  

Once your student(s) is withdrawn from WVVA, you will receive UPS return labels via email and USPS. The labels should arrive within 7-10 business days of the withdrawal; be sure to check your spam/junk folder. Please email wvvaoffice@westvaacademy.org should you not receive the labels.
