Chapter 1

Grus POV:
   I heard a knock at my door. It was gentle but loud, I knew exactly who it was. Happily I walk over and unlock the door for-- "Hey Gru!" Shrek said abruptly. He held pretty roses in his hand, and my mail in the other. He smiled and I could see his cute little dimples. 
I opened the door invitingly and let him inside. "Your house is very neat and sleek, much better than my swamp." He chuckled and set the flowers and mail down. "Well its not the best but thank you." I said. Shrek chuckled but slowly it went down, he looked more serious.  "How have you been? I know you're still stuck on the break up with Lucy Wilde." Shrek placed his hand on mine. "I'm fine, It's been a few months anyway. At least I have you." I smiled and Shrek smiled back at me. "I love you Gru.." I giggled. "I love you too Shrek."

Chapter 2

Shreks POV:
   "Listen Mario, I like you too but, I'm dating Gru. This wouldn't be right." I sighed, letting go of Mario after a long hug. "He wouldn't have to know! I promise I can keep it a secret.." Mario smiled. "You're his best friend, this is betrayal." I looked down. 
Mario sighed and kissed me on the cheek, I felt happy but.. Something was wrong. There were eyes on us. 

Lorax POV: 
   "Oh my god.." I pulled out my phone and recorded Shrek and Mario, I had to let Gru know. Quickly I searched for him and soon enough, I got to him. "Gru!" "Oh, hey Lorax!" Gru smiled. Immediately I handed him my phone and he looked at the pictures. He started to cry, and I comforted him. 

Narrator: After this unfortunate occurrence, Gruek ended.

Chapter 3

Gru POV: "I'm so happy we are together Lorax.. This is way better than me and Shrek." I smiled and he smiled back at me. "I'm happy too, I love you." The Lorax said. "I love you too."
