Hundreds of Mississippians and out of state volunteers helped in trying to gain more black voters in the south. This project wasn't taken lightly by white supremacist such as the KKK and the local and state police. They would retaliate in violent acts, even going as far as murder</div>]]></description>

Fast forward to 1967, 18 men where set to be trialdey onvicted 7 of these men and none of them served more than 6 years for their crime. With the trial still open to investigation, the killers have never really been brought to justice-which leaves people to question our government and their accountability.</div>]]></description>
