Plants play a key role in the filtration of Carbon Dioxide from the air and production of the Oxygen we breathe. This is vital for all life to survive on Earth. Through this same process the plants produce the basic sugars that are the foundation for the food chain as wildlife and people consume the fruit or other parts of the plant for nutrients.

The process of photosynthesis within a plant is more complicated than what lower science classes teach. To get the best overview of what occurs, the full process must be looked at and sorted into two stages: the light and the dark stage. while this diagram may contain more detail on the path the reaction takes, the requirements and outcomes of the reaction are still the same.

Helianthus Porteri is a species of Angiosperm that can only be found in the areas of stone mountain Georgia and small sections of Alabama, North, and South Carolina. Commonly known as the Confederate Daisy or Stone Mountain Daisy this flower plays a major roll in a festival each year at Stone Mountain Georgia where it grows plentiful. While it does grow in other parts of Georgia, it requires a bedrock of granite for it to grow properly and usually grows in large clusters of single stems.

The tundra biome is one of the most threatened biomes by changes in the weather. Due to the shallow topsoil which is normally frozen solid with permafrost, an increase in temperature thaws out the topsoil in the biome. Should the permafrost thaw, the soil will be highly susceptible to erosion and reduction in the available land in which the already limited plant life can grow as well as allowing the wind to uproot the existing plants in the biome which have a shallow root system within the topsoil.

An outcome of the Neolithic Revolution was the ability to plant the new plant types that had been bread for higher harvest counts closely together. This allowed for a small designated land to be used for food production for an entire community and made it possible to expand the crop with the growth in population. This not only started the formation of towns and began the primary information used in modern agriculture, it also allowed the population to explode around the farmland developing towns and eventually cities. But these came with their own issues humanity would need to overcome in time.

The third Agriculture Revolution (1965 to Today) saw the start of many inventions. One such innovation is the rise of low or no till farming which fall under the concept of conservation tilling. This method prevents the soil from being disturbed during the seeding process allowing less soil erosion when natural or artificial rain falls on the field. With erosion reduced the fertility of the soil is retained at a high level and increases due to plant matter recycling between harvests. This innovation drastically increase efficiency as well as yield in farming.

Aspirin, or acetylsalicylic acid, is a medication used across the world to help reduce pain in the body of patients. The discovery of this drug dates far back into the past where Egyptians used the bark of willow trees in tea to relieve aches and pains. This bark turned out to have high levels of this acid in it and was proven useful for other remedies along with the uses the Egyptians used it for.

Should the environmental practices today continue into the far future, we may very well see the earth become uninhabitable. Of course, mankind would adapt and most likely live inside domes where the air and ground would be cleaned regularly to reduce pollution so that the small area is inhabitable. This idea of the future can be seen somewhat today with areas of the world like areas of China that require breathing masks to be worn in order for people to go outside. Should they not wear the masks their life ends sooner due to diseases caused by breathing the pollution.
