It would be difficult to keep track of library account in Excel. If a student checked out a book but is a couple a days late turning it in, it would leave room for data redundancy when the student check the book back in. If the data base was in Exel, then the different grades from the different teachers would not be as accurate because there could be a mishap and then the student's GPA would not be accurate. With a real database, there would be different things taken into account when the student's GPA was being entered.

An issue i can forsee if the school database was kept in excel would be trying to enter a new student in the proper place in the document. Say they were an 11th grader with the last name Hendricks. If the sheet was sorted by grade and last name and there were 900 students, it would take forever to find where the student's information need to go.
