A jet stream is a fast-moving current of air, that is 5-7 miles above the Earth's surface. Jet streams move in different ways, either moving towards or away from the equator though it always moves from west to east.(The Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean)
Jet streams are one of the many ways that affect weather changes, jet streams move the weather to us. They cool the heat and transport moisture. During different seasons the jet streams will change altitudes, shift their flow, break up, and affect the weather of areas around them to a different type of weather and temperature. In winter it is below us and in Summer it is above us.

Trade Winds

Trade winds are a type of wind. Trade winds blow from east to west, they blow in predictable and regular patterns around the Earth. They evaporate, rise, cool down, and come back down. Trade winds go from East to West. The study of trade winds lets scientists discover that the Sun creates most of the weather on Earth, how falling rain causes these winds, and that air pressure and altitude affect weather. Trade winds make boat travel easier when going west, they brought goods to different places, and made slave travel trading a lot easier.

Coriolis Effect

It is winds in the Northern Hemisphere going clockwise and winds in the Southern Hemisphere going counter-clockwise due to the Earth rotating at an angle. When the Earth rotates west to east, the wind going straight in the Southern hemisphere will curve to the left in a counter-clockwise direction and the wind going straight in the Northern Hemisphere will curve to the left also in a clockwise direction. The Coriolis Effect affects the way winds move dictating our weather and surface currents, it also can make travel quicker if you go in the right direction but slower if you go in the wrong direction.
