It was formed about twenty thousand years ago by a frozen lava flow and the Little Colorado River that got into it. The height of Grand Falls is 56 meters higher than the height of Niagara Falls, and its waters are distinguished by a unique chocolate shade. A special permit is required to visit Grand Falls.</div>]]></description>

It was formed during the Ice Age by the waters of Lake Mizula. The height of the waterfall is fifty-seven meters, the maximum speed of the fall is one hundred and sixty kilometers per hour. The waters of the Palus fall into a round lake surrounded by steep cliffs. In winter, the waterfall freezes, but does not lose its picturesque charm.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><br></strong>Whitewater Falls is a series of waterfalls and cascades on the Whitewater River in North Carolina and South Carolina. Over the 5.6 km course of the river between the two falls, the Whitewater River drops 460 m, and crosses the state border. Both Falls can be hiked to via the Foothills Trail or spur trails. Lookouts allow you to view both falls. <br><br>There are two waterfalls, actually. The Upper one is taller (125 m) and is located in Jackson county. According to the U.S. Forest Service, "With a 411-foot plunge, Upper Whitewater Falls in North Carolina is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies." The Lower Whitewater Falls is shorter (61 m) and is located in Sumter National Forest, Oconee County.</div>]]></description>

As the seasons change so does Bald River Falls, each season brings out different characteristics of the falls. Bring a picnic lunch and drive up to Baby Falls for picnic tables and access to the River. <br>The Bald River Falls can be observed right off a road bridge, so it is not hard to spot it.<br>Located in Bald River Gorge Wilderness, Cherokee National Forest that lies within Monroe County in the U.S. state of Tennessee, designated in 1984.
