For my RIR #1, I would like help with trauma-informed care revolving around moving forward with a certain student. Maybe like how to respond to her coping verbally via humor? How should I bend to her now knowing her history and her coping mechanism (humor)?

Try different tactics, if she is acting out for the sake of attention ignore her. If she acts out to the point of disrupting the classroom get someone to escort her to a safe place. It is tough not knowing the specifics of her situation and only seeing how she acts out, but try and talk to her and let her know that the classroom and school should be a safe space. Let her know what resources she can go to, such as the school counselor, or try and talk to staff members with qualifications that could be helpful to you for advice.

I think it is worth continuing to try different things, but you have done a lot already and at a certain point it is healthy to limit your responsibility to what is technically or legally required of you. The student is probably using this as a coping mechanism for trauma and you can't control their actions. Know your responsibility to your admin for keeping track of the student and ensuring their safety but that might be the best you can do sometimes.
