This is where I believe that we as teenagers and students need more help developing. Social media has a large impact on our social development, we see perspectives of others and we tend to believe that we're good enough to and that we need to be more like other people. We are scared to be our own person when we should be proud of who we are. Schools should have more workshops and presentations delivered to the students to tell them it okay to be who you are.

This is the domain where teenagers can get lost. When schools have teachers that provide a support system and encourage students to strive to be their best, it's extremely important and helpful. Teachers who open their doors at lunch are the ones that impact students more because they're making themselves readily available to students struggling with their identity. It aids in their development as a person, having that support system there, whether it's with teachers, child and youth workers, or their friends.

Within our classes, it doesn't always feel like students have the chance to explore their interests the way they'd like to. This is because of the environment we live in and the fact it's such a small space, but regardless there should be a push for more courses to let students explore what they want to do, rather than limit them to courses related to their area.

During this domain, students often try and experiment with new friends or they will dye their hair to see how the school environment will react. During schools, if there is the one friend group who is different than others, it might be seen as "weird" because they are different compared to others. Students will limit themselves to that group only and will be intimidated by social groups such as Student Council fearing they will be judged.

I believe that the domain in which schools can improve on factoring into education is this one. The social domain is extremely important because it's what shapes who we are and how we interact- the basics of humanity. I believe that our education system ignores social development because it seems irrelevant or too "dramatic". Issues like bullying, rumours no even the way students talk back to teachers need to be improved on.

I believe that the social domain in our schools can improve. I think there are not enough opportunities in our school to allow for students to reach out and explore their interests outside of the classroom. I think because our school is so small there aren't many extracurricular activities. Other than that I don't think our school is accepting others who don't fit into the social norm. I see this everyday where rude comments are being made to people who wear something different. This keeps the students from thinking that their school is accepting of their peer.

Mental health has become a big topic of discussion everywhere but students are still not comfortable talking as they're scared of what others might say.

In my opinion, our school has a family-like bond so it's nice to feel warm and welcomed everyday. It's always nice to know everyone because you can communicate and interact with literally everyone compared to other school who have cliques/groups. Challenges in my school would be extracurricular activities such as sports and clubs. Since it is a small population, organizing school teams and clubs is hard due to the fact that we don't have enough people.
