A society controlled, with no room to muse
A one-man rule, a dictator's muse
A nation enslaved, with nothing to lose

But still the legacy lingers on
A reminder of a past, now gone
A cautionary tale, of a leader's song
And the cost of living, in a totalitarian long.

After a period of intense political manoeuvring, Stalin emerged as the leader of the Communist Party and the Soviet government. He solidified his position through a series of purges and repression, eliminating potential rivals and consolidating his hold on power. This marked the transition from Lenin's leadership to Stalin's dictatorship and the beginning of a new era in Soviet history.
