The common thinking at the time was that there was no possibility that a vulnerable nation like Ukraine could stand up to the military might of Russia. Most thought the war would end quickly with Russia annexing more territory as they had in the past. That scenario did not come to pass. Why?

Volodymyr Zelensky’s wartime leadership may be the reason. President Zelensky came to represent the Ukrainian people's struggle and their fighting spirit. His effective communication, his willingness to stay in Ukraine, and ability to gain support from other world powers made a great wartime leader. This exhibit will explore other wartime leaders throughout history. It focuses  

This exhibit will focus on the qualities that leaders possess that help them be great leaders during war. The figures profiled in this exhibit may not all be “good” from a modern way of thinking, but they were all great. They changed the world around them and reshaped the course of human history.
