They were saught of as a good thing because they were killing one of the devils followers. In this picture you see two girls, one thats older and a younger one. They are inside quilting a blanket as there is a lifeless body hanging out there window. They aren't looking at it and or have a different facail expression showing that is was normal. Many people didn't like the play and caused the play to be a flop in the ealier years of its release. This was due to arthur miller talking against the people convicting people of being communist and he publicly came out agaisnt it. Many people saw helping his play-writing good reviews or watching it, would cause them to be accosiasted with him and could cause people to acuse them of being a communist. She was such a young age and just wanted to see her mom so she didn't know any better and convicted himself so that she could see her mom. He was one of the few to lead the charge in the salem witch trials. As seen in this picture a lady fainted to convince the judge (john hathorne) that someone in that room was a witch. Back in the older time they used spirital eviedence and or just acusations to get people convicticed of being a witch.
