Prompt #1: Choose one of the four types of reinforcement or punishments (+/- Reinforcement and +/- Punishment) and think of/explain a situation in your life where the type you chose occurred. Identify the behavior being altered, and how the consequence that strengthened or weakened the repeated behavior happened. Prompt #2: Reflect on our pre-class alarm activity. What did you find interesting about the entire process? Did you feel motivated more by the second alarm than by the first? Do you think that the act of getting out of bed was effectively reinforced by the alarms? Write down your thoughts to be shared with the class

So although I cannot accurately answer this prompt for today, I can talk about my usual routine. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I wake up at 5:45 am for practice. I am more motivated by the first alarm, rather than the second. Mainly because I don't want to be late to practice and receive punishment from my coach. I am definitely annoyed by the second alarm because it reminds me that I am about to jump into a cold pool. Nonetheless, I still get out of bed.
