I think that he meant to see past the outside, he meant to see inside, not a disabled body but the person's personalty. Even though they look disabled they could still have fun like Norman playing baseball! #deep

I think Norman meant that you can should not judge a book by it's cover . When you judge some one straight away you may have just lost a possible friend. You may also hurt the persons feelings by the way you judge them. To "Seek the Story in the Stranger" he meant to learn about them before you judge them. This is what I thought Norman meant.

He meant that you should think of what happened in that persons life because if the person looks mean you don't know if he is mean or not he could be the nicest person in the world. I think it is hard for people not to do this because people don't like people that don't meet what they should see in a person not just the stuff on the surface

People are taught from a very early age by society to judge people in certain ways. People should think for themselves and not be afraid to ask questions.

Norman meant when he said " seeking the stranger" to kinda don't judge a book by its cover and look at there life story. Because if you looked at there life story and seen what they have been through, maybe you won't be mean to that person. It's difficult to do because they don't know the person. That's why there called a "stranger".

I think he meant consider what you do not know, there is a lot more to a person then how they look. It is important to learn more about the person and not let your biases get in the way of what you believe. It is hard to get to know people because not everyone is willing to tell you their story.

I think it is really hard to get to know someone and even we do think that someone looks interesting and we would like to be friends. Sometimes your current friends do not want you to be friends with others and hold you back. You feel peer pressure to stay with them. Also, we are worried that someone won't want to get to know us back and that is hard to feel that way too.
