I am thrilled to get to know all of my new students. We are going to start the year off as we intend to continue.... with calm vibes. We are practising gratitude and meditation daily during morning meeting.The children beautifully decorated our meditation table. Thank you to those who sent in items.

This month we have been focusing on place value in maths. The children have benefitted from using hands on materials in pairs to investigate this mathematical concept.

November Internet Safety

Today the 13th November we had David from Barnados in to talk to the class about internet safety. This is so important for the children and the got a lot out of it. Please have a chat and find out what they learned!

This month we are learning about the Normans and how they built Motte and Bailey castles for defense. The children are acting as modern day defense designers using the junior CAD programme TinkerCad. We are working towards designing an amazing Motte and Bailey Castle. One design will be picked to get 3D printed in a participating library!

It's hard to see it but the children used a ball of wool to do a team building activity. Each child said a kind thing about another child in the class. As they did so, they passed the wool to that person. In the end we had a big kindness web. Kindness connects us!
