End of the Volunteering Work:

It was very eye opening. The children were not very cooperative at the beginning but they were very proud of their work and to showcased it.

If looking at the GANTT chart, there would be 6 Units.

The first lessons would be to explain the whole project, what are they exceptions, what they hope to achieve, knowing them and who they are.

Songwritting - 7 sessions.

Looking at what is songwritting. Having a songwriter to come and explain their jobs and their experiences. What they think songwriting is and looking at some example.

2nd week:

Principle of songwritting. What makes a powerful song and how to achieve it. Making games to write stories. Looking at different ways to tell stories, like poem, play, books.

3rd weeks:

Looking more into what's a verse, what's a hook, what's a chorus. Finding a theme, a red thread that will would follow during the different sessions.

4th week:

Now that we know what's make a song, we'll start to write them. They would do maybe 2 or 3 each or together and so we have enough to choose from.

5th week :

Working on the songs we're doing and looking at some melodic content. Starting a bit production. Revising and softening things.

6th Week:

Final touches on the songs and we're starting to go into the production of the songs. Using instruments if they have or using sample and loops.

Looking a the DAW. what is it ? how to work with it? What can you do and the different part.

Have them play around and making a very short loop thingy for example.

2nd week:

Looking at how a song would be written musically speaking. For example, how a verse in a song should be, how a chorus should look like. Having a guest like a producer or an artist explaining them how they work.

3rd week :

Basic music theory and how we can applied to the song we are writing. To make it work we would do games, so they would understand it better.

4th week :

Starting to put music on the song we wrote. Using midi keyboard, we can start recording some instruments. Teaching about signal flow and how a microphone would work. Basic knowledge of a working process.

5th week :

Continuing production process of the songs. Helping them and having a conversation with it.

It would be fun to do a studio trip, but that could be expensive and hard to organise. Maybe in a music school.

Having a bit of an introduction to mixing class. The basic of what is it.

Showing raw recording and there mixed counterparts. Critical listening and having a conversation about it.

2nd week:

Mixing engineer coming in, explain his job and how they works. Explaining the different tools and how they work, what they do. Having them to have a play with them.

3rd week:

Talking about analogue and digital maybe. Having the difference between creative and not creative mixing technique.

4th week:

letting them do their own mixes and either choosing one of them or choosing and one and make it more professional.

5th week:

Talking about mastering and what is it. A very small introduction and sending the track to be mastered.

Talking about how the music industry works. PPL PRS the difference.

Having someone in business to come give a talk.

asking them where does the work we did falls into how we can make money out of it.

2nd week:

Talking about Label and how it works.

Drafting a demand for example or making them create their own little label.

3rd week:

Talking about revenue stream and how it works. How venue makes money and how to throw an event.

Starting to make flyers, stick to a budget.

4th week:

Putting in place the event. Having a line up.

It would b a program over a few weeks where a child would learn how to make one song.
