My name is Phuong. I'm currently working at St Andrew’s Cathedral School in Sydney, Australia. This is my 4th year teaching here. We are a K-12 school with MYP in year 7-10 and DP in year 11 and 12. Although I have been teaching the MYP for a few years, I am still relatively new, and I don’t think I have fully wrapped my head around the whole MYP yet. Hopefully, with this online course, I will be able to gain a more in depth understanding of what Maths looks like in the MYP framework.

I teach years 7-12 and have been thoroughly enjoying it! This is my 3rd year teaching here and officially my 3rd year teaching in Australia. I am originally from Lebanon and have only moved here 4 years ago. I was a teacher in Lebanon for 5 years.

I have found it interesting and somewhat challenging getting used to all the changes as well as adopting the MYP framework all in one go. I feel like I was thrown into it and am still trying to learn it and apply it richly in my classes.

I am looking forward to this course!

I'm part of an excellent department of collegial teachers in a really great school.

I'm a very part-time Maths teacher because of other roles in the school, including timetabling. Having less classes means less chance to experiment and get across the entire curriculum. I've often found aspects of the MYP difficult to implement in Maths, as compared to teaching in the Design faculty where it was a little more straightforward.

It's not an international school, so we teach the NSW syllabus but also offer IBDP and we are in our 5th year of implementing MYP in Year 7. 
Previously, I taught Maths for 7 years in a public school in Sydney.

I have enjoyed the challenges that teaching the MYP brings, and I love that it's opened up my teaching practice. I am looking forward to learning a lot in this course, as I still find it very tricky to combine teaching the Australian curriculum with MYP.

It is my 10th year in China and I am from The Czech Republic. Before I came to WAB I taught Maths at Tsinghua International School which followed common core. 
I think that the MYP mathematics program is very progressive and constructivist based and the success of applying it depends on a particular school and on what curriculum the school follows. It took me a while to deal with the magnitude of MYP assessments and I have a lot of questions to ask. 

I am looking forward learn more about MYP teaching mathematics.
