After a heartfelt time we got to know each other and also visited  major sights of northern Greece, for example Thessaloniki. We also had the opportunity of a guided tour to Meteora monasteries. 
The outcome of this meeting was our shared enthusiasm as teachers to bring this project to life. Inside the school environment, full of warmth, the principal and the assistant teachers gave a nice welcome to everyone. The principal meet each and every partner and coordinator, described to them the way the school works as well as received a lot of gifts from them. After that, the coordinators met to discuss the final procedure for the end of the program. With this, the activities of the love of reading program reached their conclusion but not the thirst for knowledge, since the Cyrpus Partners had more activities in store for the next days.

During the first day of the summer activities in Cyprus, the partners had the chance to visit the UCY Library. Prague's zoo is one of the largest in the country and in Europe. This facility not only has animals living in fascinating recreations of their natural habitats (temperature, lighting, etc.) but it also allows visitors to donate money to raise and release these animals to their natural habitats as a means of preserving their population.
The students had the chance to see and interact with a variety of species. The activities prepared for the visit helped everyone to better understand the zoological context in a fun and productive way.

Everyone enjoyed watching a gladiator fight in the school's gym in the afternoon. First, two Czech members discussed the basics of the gladiator fighting style, and then they started fighting like actual gladiators from the past. Despite its heavy weight, the equipment was well-suited to a heavy challenge, and students who were willing to take it on wore it. Although not widely known, the heavy equipment makes fighting difficult, so the sparring lasted just a few minutes.

During their final day, the students and the teachers visited the Prague Castle. Inside the castle, they came across some of the most important historical buildings of Prague, such as St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George's Basilica, the Old Royal Palace and the Vladislav hall. Everyone was in awe in front of the unraveling history from the buildings.

This time we will meet in Prague, the capital city in Czech Republic.
From 28th March to 1st April, students and teachers from Cyprus, Greece and Spain will arrive on Prague where they will be welcome by Czech teachers and host families. During a week they will learn about Czech history, culture, nature and technology. They will carry out specially activities related to music in the Czech Republic and will share experiences with the European partners in this project.

It will be an unforgettable experience!
