The Feynman technique, while time-consuming, focuses on comprehending the subject matter clearly-- not just memorizing it. This will make learning in the future easier and more intuitive. Two of the best proven techniques for learning a subject include repeating what you've learned in your own words, and teaching this to someone else. With the Feynman technique you get the most bang for your buck. You get a deeper understanding of the subject matter, without having to make a billion flashcards.
